<p>The GOV.UK ID Check app offers a convenient and secure way to verify your identity online, granting you access to various government services. Its simple and user-friendly interface allows for seamless matching of your face with your photo ID.</p>

<h2>Before you begin</h2>
<p>To utilize the app, you can provide one of the following valid forms of identification:</p>
<ul>
    <li>UK photocard driving licence</li>
    <li>Passport with a biometric chip</li>
    <li>UK biometric residence permit (BRP)</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition, please ensure you have the following:</p>
<ul>
    <li>A well-lit area to capture a high-quality photograph</li>
    <li>An iPhone 6s or higher</li>
    <li>iOS 13 or higher</li>
</ul>

<h2>How it functions</h2>
<p>The process depends on the type of photo ID you possess:</p>

<h3>If you have a driving licence:</h3>
<ol>
    <li>Take a photo of your driving licence.</li>
    <li>Scan your face using your phone.</li>
</ol>

<h3>If you have a passport:</h3>
<ol>
     <li>Take a photo of your passport.</li>
     <li>Scan the biometric chip in your passport using your phone.</li>
     <li>Scan your face using your phone.</li>
</ol>

<h3>If you have a BRP:</h3>
<ol>
    <li>Take a photo of your BRP.</li>
    <li>Scan the biometric chip in your BRP using your phone.</li>
    <li>Scan your face using your phone.</li>
</ol>

<h2>What to expect after</h2>
<p>It's crucial to note that the app solely assists in confirming your identity. Once completed, you will be redirected to the website of the government service you were accessing to view the results of your identity check.</p>

<h2>Privacy and security</h2>
<p>The protection of your personal information is of utmost importance to us. Rest assured, the app does not store your personal data or retain any information on your phone after use. We collect and handle your data securely, deleting it once it is no longer necessary.</p>
